100 Bible Verses Every Christian Should Memorize

As believer’s in Christ, it is important that we put God’s Word inside of our hearts. Jesus says in Matthew that we can be in error by not knowing the Scripture and not knowing the power of God.

Jesus answered and said to them, â€œYou are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures nor the power of God.

Matthew 22:29

Memorizing the Bible allows the Words of Jesus to dwell richly in our souls so we can have victory over sin and the devil. in Psalms it says,

Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You.

Psalm 119:11

Another verse in Colossians says,

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

Colossians 3:16

The Scripture in us helps us fight the devil that is outside of us. You’ll notice that when you begin to store God’s word inside of you, it will strengthen your prayer, sharpen your witness, and your mind, and attitude will be illuminated by the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit.
