The Night He Went to Hell

We had gone to a prayer meeting and come home. I went to bed but then got up at 3 am to get a glass of water. Suddenly, I was pulled out of my body. I tumbled down a long tunnel, and I landed on a stone dungeon floor. I was fully awake and cognizant.

I noticed the intense heat. I wanted to get up and run, but I had no physical strength.

I saw two reptile-ish beings with long claws in the cell. They were pacing in the cell, blaspheming and cursing God. They directed their hatred for God towards me. One picked me up and threw me into the wall, and I collapsed while the other demon dug his claws into me. The Lord blocked most of the pain.

In this place, I had a body, but no blood or water was coming from the wounds.

I received no mercy from the demons.

Then it went dark. Pitch black darkness, that could be felt.

I was taken out and placed by a large raging pit of fire. Real flames. Not allegorical or metaphorical. I saw the outlines of people screaming and burning. It was tormenting.

I thought about my wife on earth. I knew I could never get to her again. No finality with your family. I understood I was down deep in the earth. I also understood there are levels of torment.

There is no comfortable, tolerable level. No purpose. Complete wasting away. The smell was a foul, putrid odor of burning flesh and burning sulfur. The Bible makes mention of the sulfer as brimstone.

In this place, you’re not upon the earth; you’re down deep beneath the earth, and you cannot sleep and rest. You’re hungry and have an unimaginable thirst.

There were snakes and maggots. And during my time there, the Lord blocked the idea that I was a Christian from my mind. All I experienced was hopelessness. And I have to say, that is the worst part of hell. You understand eternity. It would never end. I would never escape.

Jesus Rescues Him

Suddenly, something began lifting me up a dark tunnel and a bright light appeared. I knew immediately who it was. I said “Jesus.” He said, “I AM”. And then I went unconscious. After a while He touched me and I woke up.

At that moment, I was so grateful that He went to the cross to save me from hell.

I was in hell 23 minutes.
