October Charity Spotlight

Yangon, Myanmar

In the past month, we’ve seen God answer prayers in amazing ways, and VSM donors have been an essential part of this! We partnered with Solid Foundation in Yangon, Myanmar, where they run an orphanage and mission home for local orphaned children and their communities.

Improving Living Conditions

The rainy climate leads to mold and slime, very unsanitary and unsafe conditions. Previously, the staff spent valuable time scrubbing floors by hand. Thanks to your generosity, we provided a new pressure washer, enabling them to clean more efficiently and focus their time and energy on other work.

Support for Families in Need

Due to civil unrest, all the men aged 18-35 have been drafted, leaving women to support their families. With rising food prices, many struggle to afford basics. We’ve delivered meals and essential supplies like oil, rice, lentils, and meat to those in need, and they received these gifts with tears and gratitude!

Urgent Needs Met

One miraculous moment happened when a nearby orphanage completely ran out of food and was crying out to God for help and provision. The next day with VSM donations the local missionaries were able to buy enough food to last an entire month!

Additionally, we provided lunch boxes for all the children at the Solid Foundation Orphanage, so they can take food with them to school.

Thanks to your generosity, over 180 people and three orphanages have been fed and supported!
