Mandalay Earthquake Response

The devastation that occurred in Mandalay, Myanmar, on March 28th during the 7.7 magnitude earthquake is catastrophic and heart-wrenching. Many people lost their lives, and even more have no place to live because their homes were completely destroyed.

Solid Foundation Ministry has been able to provide gas stoves and solar panels for families who have lost everything. Many people have also received bags of dry food, mosquito repellent, candles, tarps, mosquito nets, blankets, and floor mats. As this blog post is being shared, the team is actively serving on the ground and continuing to help those most affected. And this is just the beginning of their work.

Gospel for Myanmar is another local ministry we are partnered with. They have been able to help over 1,000 families with food and water, tarpaulin sheets for emergency shelter, and blankets and mosquito nets.

We’re incredibly thankful for the quick and generous response of VSM donors, who stepped in without hesitation to help meet these urgent needs.
