Whether you’re facing physical sickness, emotional pain, or spiritual brokenness, I want to encourage you to feed on God’s Word. Here are a few Bible verses that help remind you of God’s goodness and His faithfulness during seasons of pain.

Scriptures to Meditate On

1. Exodus 15:26

“If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the Lord who heals you.”

2. Exodus 23:25

“So you shall serve the Lord your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you.”

3. Deuteronomy 7:15

“And the Lord will take away from you all sickness and will afflict you with none of the terrible diseases of Egypt which you have known, but will lay them on all those who hate you.”

4. Deuteronomy 32:39

“Now see that I, even I, am He, and there is no God besides Me; I kill and I make alive; I wound and I heal; nor is there any who can deliver from My hand.”

5. 2 Kings 20:5

“Return and tell Hezekiah the leader of My people, ‘Thus says the Lord, the God of David your father: “I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; surely I will heal you. On the third day you shall go up to the house of the Lord.”’”

6. 2 Chronicles 7:14

“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

7. Psalm 6:2

“Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I am weak; O Lord, heal me, for my bones are troubled.”

8. Psalm 30:2

“O Lord my God, I cried out to You, and You healed me.”

9. Psalm 41:3

“The Lord will strengthen him on his bed of illness; You will sustain him on his sickbed.”

10. Psalm 103:2-3

“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases.”

11. Psalm 107:19-20

“Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and He saved them out of their distresses. He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.”

12. Psalm 147:3

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”

13. Proverbs 3:7-8

“Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh, and strength to your bones.”

14. Isaiah 53:4-5

“Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.”
